Floating cork floor and small framing project

We’re doing some general carpentry work at a neighborhood home this weekend. The customers wanted to close up the former pantry which they use for a laundry room, leaving an opening for future equipment removal. Rob framed the new wall, leaving an opening for a 32″ door. Alex will plaster the wall on Tuesday and Rob will install molding and trim.

Rob and Dana are working on installation of a floating cork floor. The customer demoed the old tile themselves and removed the plywood that was underneath it to lower the thresholds between the adjoining hallway and dining room. Rob replaced a section of damaged subfloor and then began installing the flooring materials.
